A Journey Through Time: The Origins of a Taoist Master
During the Han Dynasty in China, there was a man named Zhang Dashun who was deeply fascinated by the theurgy of immortality. He had a son, Zhang Daoling, who exhibited exceptional intelligence from a young age. At just 26 years old, Zhang Daoling became an official in Jiangzhou. Inspired by his father, Zhang Daoling also delved into the study of longevity and immortality.
The Quest for Immortality
Zhang Daoling's quest for immortality led him to resign from his official position. He began traveling across the country, exploring famous mountains and rivers while continuing his cultivation. Eventually, he discovered a sacred mountain, where he dedicated himself to his practices. After three years of intense cultivation, he successfully refined a divine elixir. Legend has it that upon the completion of the elixir, a divine dragon and a fierce tiger appeared on the mountain. From that moment, the mountain was known as Mount Longhu, or Dragon-Tiger Mountain.
Founding Taoism
With the elixir refined, Zhang Daoling founded Taoism and traveled to the Sichuan region to spread his teachings. His reputation grew, and his influence expanded as he shared his wisdom and practices with the people.
The Divine Encounter
One night, Taishang Laojun (the Highest Elder Lord) visited Zhang Daoling's residence from the Heaven. He gifted Zhang Daoling a divine sword, talismans, and various cultivation methods. Taishang Laojun instructed him to continue his cultivation and prepare to eliminate the six demon kings and eight ghost generals that were wreaking havoc in Sichuan.

Zhang Daoling set up a ritual altar on Mount Qingcheng and engaged in a fierce battle with the ghost army. He successfully defeated all the ghost soldiers and the eight ghost generals, showcasing his extraordinary powers.

The Clash with the Demon Kings
Following this victory, the six demon kings came to the human world, challenging Zhang Daoling to a second battle of magic. With calm and composure, Zhang Daoling wielded the divine brush and, with a gentle stroke, defeated the six demon kings. He then used his magical powers to seal them within the mountains, ensuring that the demons could no longer harm the world.
